ABOUT
ME!
Dr. Lisa Jackson, affectionately known as Dr. Duchess, was born into a proud Belizean family in Los Angeles and has always embraced a free-spirited, adventurous life.
A graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Oak Cliff, Texas, Lisa went on to serve her country in the United States Army for eight years. For much of her professional career, she worked as an Information Technology professional. She later became a college professor at an HBCU and now enjoys her retired years flying the skies as a flight attendant.
Dr. Duchess is also a published children's author, having written four books, Is My Mommy Coming?, My Name Is Fedrick, F-E-D-R-I-C-K, The Golden Egg, and Girls Ride Too! are all available on Amazon.
In 2025, Lisa faced one of life's greatest challenges when she was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple-Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, a lumpectomy, and radiation, she proudly beat cancer in just 4½ months. Her journey has strengthened her commitment to living boldly, inspiring others, and making every moment count.
When she isn't working or writing, Dr. Duchess enjoys riding her Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited, sewing and crafting, reading, writing, fishing, camping, and traveling.
